Our time of waiting for our surprise baby to arrive is coming to a close. I am officially 9 days away from my due date and 10 days from being induced. It still seems like that is a long time to wait when you are in the 9th month of pregnancy but really it is not long at all. I do believe I am ready for our little girl to make her presence known.
Several weeks ago I set up the Pack-n-Play for her to sleep in. On March 7 our church gave us a baby shower and I got lots of cute little pink clothes and some pink blankets. My shower inspired me to get out all the little girl clothes that has been handed down to me from my sister so I got out all the 0-3 month clothes and got them washed and in the closet. I even have some diapers for when we get home from the hospital.
Andrew keeps asking when the baby is going to come out and says he wants her out now. It is very cute to see his excitement about the baby. Josiah doesn't have a clue what is about to hit him but I hope he handles it well. I do know there is going to be some jealousy so we are praying that he adjusts quickly.
I am excited to have my both of my parents arrive on March 26. If I hold out to my due date, which I'm sure I will, then my dad will get to be here when the baby is born. He has not actually been in town when either of our boys were born so it will be fun to have him be able to come to the hospital to meet our precious little girl and not have to wait several months before he gets to meet her. I am excited that both of my parents will be around this time. It will be good too for our boys so they can spend some time with Papa while mommy is in the hospital. I think they will all have fun hanging out together.
We'll keep you updated on any new news and we'll definitely get pictures up as soon as possible after our little girl makes her appearance.
