Our First "Visitors"

Thursday I got a call from my dad saying he had gotten approval to have Friday and Monday off work and they were coming to see us. We were all so excited to have our first visitors to our new house. The kids couldn't wait for Memaw, Papa Honey, and Great-grandpa to arrive.

Several times a day I would look over at my grandpa sitting in his rocking chair and I would find Josiah curled up in his lap. Andrew eventually caught onto the idea and started fighting for his place there too. These moments are priceless. I love that my kids love their great grandparents and want to spend time with them. Whenever Josiah would come in the room from playing someplace else in the house he would go over and "check in" on grandpa.

Believe it or not Abigail will be 2 at the end of the month. So we decided to kind of celebrate birthdays while my parents were here (my mom just had her birthday a couple weeks ago and my dad's is a couple days after Abigail's). My mom and dad have bought all three of my kids their first Bible for their second birthday. Sunday morning they decided to give Abigail her Bible so she could take it to church with her. She loves carrying around her Bible like her big brothers.

We got a new patio set with a great table and 6 chairs for our new house. Saturday evening Mark and my dad put the table together then Sunday afternoon we got the chairs together. After finishing up with the chairs we tried them out and relaxed in the garage while the kids were playing with the neighbors. It was a gorgeous day and those chairs sure are comfy.

We enjoyed so much having my parents and grandpa to our new house. We wish the time had been longer but are so thankful for the time we had together. We hope others will come for a visit soon too.

I love the pictures. I just wish I could have clicked on them to blow them up! The shot of Dad and the kids really shows how cool the inside of the house is.

Glad you got to have some visitors!
love you - Christen

Wish we could have stayed longer too. It was a great time with some great memories. Families that live close and don't spend time together don't know what they have. We cherish every moment we have with you whenever we can. I try not to be jeolous of families that can see each other anything they want. BUT...we know that when eternity comes we will all be together FOREVER!
